THE CHALLENGE

Executing the installation presented significant technical and architectural challenges, requiring the artwork to seamlessly wrap across a 90-degree internal corner while adapting to sloped vaulted ceilings rising up to 15 feet on the left and a dramatic pitched roofline reaching past 15 feet at its peak on the right.

The layout had to seamlessly incorporate existing structural obstructions—including two standard doorways, an elevated loft access hatch, light switches, and wall sockets, without disrupting the dynamic flow of the design. Working at these heights demanded specialised ladders and scaffolding to safely reach the ceiling's apex, while the high-traffic nature of the pavilion required low-VOC, commercial-grade indoor paints finished with a protective topcoat to ensure long-lasting durability against everyday scuffs and wear.

THE SOLUTION

To address these challenges, the design mock-up was mapped around the room's geometry using precise measurements of the 15 ft left and 20 ft right walls, strategically placing key details, including the Hythe & Dibden Youth FC crest, player silhouettes, and the club hashtag "#WEALLCANPLAY".

We incorporated the club green, with lines sourced from the club brand guidelines to flow continuously across the internal corner to unify the space. This was to be brought to life using a combination of hand-painting, precision, masking, and aerosol graffiti.

THE RESULTS

To complete the installation, the wall surfaces were thoroughly prepped and sealed with a commercial-grade matte protective coat, preserving colour vibrancy while ensuring the artwork remains easy to clean and scuff-resistant in a high-traffic youth facility.

We converted a plain white renovated space into a striking new centrepiece for the new pavilion. The completed mural now serves as a welcoming, professional backdrop for post-match gatherings, club events and team photo opportunities.

TESTIMONIAL

"We had a multitude of exterior-facing walls on the side of our building which were covered in unsightly graffiti for years. It was a complete eyesore, and we were receiving complaints from customers, as a bingo club the majority are elderly. It was unpleasant for the general public passing by our premises.

We decided to address this, contacting Aidan at JumpStart Studios. After a quick site visit, he provided us with beautiful designs to cover the affected areas. Afterwards, he carried out protective coating to prevent graffiti from ever being applied again, now we can just rub it off with soap and water! I cannot recommend the mural service enough, we constantly receive compliments now and have noticed a significant increase in footfall through our business.”
